Default Lightbar help!!!

So i ordered this lightbar/ bracket combo from ebay and "I'm not expecting much" but the ends of the bar don't have the holes for screws to mount it to the brackets. it came with L brackets and other mounting brackets that attach to the middle of the bar, but no hole to directly mount to the bar. Ive tried a couple configurations but I'm not getting it

Does that center piece with the threads on it come off by unscrewing it by any chance?

or

Unscrewing the 3 torx on the side and popping that cover off ?

Did you end up removing the rubber grommet from the end caps and how did you do it.

I had to use a flathead screwdriver, they were in there pretty good. I just finished mounting it and I'm impressed.
