Hello,

So I just installed a new rear bumper with LED slots. When i popped the tail light i noticed that there were three wires that went into the reverse bulb (one white and two blacks) one of the blacks goes into the actual taillight bulb. I am amusing that I would just splice into the the white and black wires that go into the connector but I dont know what that third wire would be for. Once i get home I will add pictures.

This is how I did mine...red to white/green, black to middle black.

Thanks for the picture. Do you have it on a switch or just when you put it in reverse?

I don't have or need a switch so just works off the reverse lights. Are you planning on having it switchable as well? You can do that with a 3 way switch, or diodes, or with dual relays.
