Default Which LED to replace factory fog lamps

I am looking to replace my stock fog lamps in my AEV front bumper. My question is for the for lamp which would be better, the Rigid D2, flood, or spot lights and why? I know it comes down to personal preference but wanted to see opinion of people who have already done it.

Flood would be for me because it gives you the widest beam close to the jeep to see the road on the fog. Don't have spots in the fog light holes but just thinking it would be closer to high beams on which would not help with a foggy situation.

Look at the retrofit source. They have a set of led in actual fog pattern. Otherwise your just going to blind someone. JW Speaker I believe makes actual fog lights. And then trucklite makes some as well.

I've got a pair of amber Dually spot lights going in for my fogs. Mainly for use during bad weather. Wanted the spot so I could see down ahead of me, not whats right in front of me. Headlights do a good enough job of that.

I am interested in a black smoke type fog look. Is the anzp junk? I have the kc headlights. Can't the x visions be used as a dog or spot based on diffuser?

Have you looked into Impulse Lights? They have some cubes that would fit with a conversion kit. They are far less expensive and are built very strong. I bought a few of their lights for my JK. Should be here in a few days. I agree with fogs being in a flood pattern. You want the light to spread. Having the light at the lowest point also allows the lights to perform as designed.
