Default LED Light Strip ???

I am looking into placing some LED light strips inside my two door. I noticed on some of the led strips you can cut a desired length (every 3 leds etc.). My question is after you cut the excess off, can you wire the left over and use it somewhere else?

This way, I would only have to buy one longer strip and cut it into pieces. Rather than two or three short ones.

Thanks!

yes. You can solder leads on the pads at the cut area. It's kind of a pain in the ass though. Might be easier to buy pieces that have already been cut and wired. That's what I ended up doing for under hood lights

Thanks for the response! Do you have any pics of your under hood lights? That was an idea I had also.

Nice! I love the lights under the hood. But what's the silver thingy above the drivers side wheel well?

I really like the under the hood lights. Looks like they put off a ton of light. Do you cut them on manually or did you somehow wire them to come on automatically when the hood is opened?

so, I have an aftermarket alarm that has a hood pin that goes to ground when the hood is opened. I tapped that ground for the negative side of the led so the lights come on. The hood pin switch is like 5 bucks on Amazon
