Horrible lighting. 4300k are white and brighter than the 6000k. My hid are not finicky at all.
I have 6000k lights. They are too blue. Maybe I'll test out some 4300k.
I have been looking at LED fog lamps and 6000k seems to be the standard.

I tried several set ups & ended up going with a spot/flood combo on the bumper & spots on the windshield. If your wanting distance the spots on the windshield are perfect & get you the most distance. Mine are aimed slightly outward so where my light bar leaves off my spots take over. I say LED all the way. Better light displacement & less power.

Yes 6000k is too blue. 4300k is the best.

OK, if you need all those led lights to get adequate light then the whole "less power" argument goes down the shitter. Was well as how much did you spend to get enough light?

ItsMekO3 that started the thread asked about windshield lights and a light bar on the bumper. That's all I gave my opinion on. He started this thread to get help on deciding what setup to go with, not have somebody bash a fellow JK'r.

If you'd like a light comparison of HID to LED based on what I have here you are:

20" SR light bar 4.8 AMPs @6400 lumens
50" SR light bar 12.1 AMPs @16,000 lumens
2 Dually spot 2 AMPs @2600 lumens
2 Dually D2's 5 AMPs @5200 lumens
Total AMPs 23.9 AMPs
Total Lumens. 30,200 lumens

Here's a HID equivalent
1 35 watt HID 2.92 AMPs @ 3000 lumens

So if you ran 10 HIDs
Total AMPs 29.2 AMPs
Total Lumens 30,000 lumens

So with my 4 LED's & 2 light bars your getting more light & drawing less power than 10 HID lights.

OK, here we go, for one. Lumens don't tell the whole story. Lumens are rated st the light not how much light is put down the road. Most led lights struggle to get 300 meters down the road lit with usable light where as my 2 55w hid equipped hella 500s light up 1200meters down the road with usable light. Yep, tested and proven by people who sell both. Also tested and proven by yours truly. Plus each of my hid are rated at between 5-6000 lumens. Led, great for short distance. Not so much for fast driving or long distance.

LED lighting in just about every industry is not only taking over, it is the future. They have come a long way in the past several years and will continue to improve. They may not be there yet out performing other lighting but are moving along at a good pace. I am not saying they put out more usable light but they are a great choice for many reasons.

I'm pretty sure on the flood or flood/spot combo for the bumper, but still can't decide on the windshield lights. Do any of you guys have any output pics of your windshield lights?
