Default LED or HID. Need some opinions.

I have always used HID and halogen auxiliary off road lights but never had a chance to use LED lights. I have been trying to figure out what I should run for the few night trips I do a year. I mainly run desert trails and some mountain at rock crawling speeds. What are some of your opinions. I am eyeing a 15 inch bar for the front bull bar.

Thanks as always for your input.

I don't have too much experience with either as off-road lighting, however I did just get a pair of 4" HID's for the windshield and will probably later get a pair of KC l.e.d's for the front bumper. I also plan on installing a pair of existing halogen lights I have on the rear bumper.

So I plan on experimenting with all 3 types. It may however look like a crazy mis-match in the night. Not much help for your original question though.

If you are eyeing the light bar, the l.e.d's look nice and seem to be very bright. They also have a bit less current draw than HID's and HID's usually have less draw than halogen. Although the l.e.d.'s can be much more pricey.

Nothing can beat properly made HID setup.
Search 'HID retrofit' on google.
