1) make sure you have a good ground
2) make sure you have a good connection to your + (yellow with white stripe)
3) make sure you're using LEDs designed for a 12v power source
4) make sure you turn your dome light switch on
This is true. Sometimes it's the little things you miss...

None takin I actually have a test light but didn't take the time to go through them all but now I'm actually thinking of not doing the footwells and hooking it into the hvac and using it under my radio to shine some light on the cup holders. But I'm not worrying about any of that till this weekend ordered some cowl protectors and they just came in so prolly gonna put those on first

Anyone do this to a 2012?

Any concerns about tapping into the wire for the dome light?

I did this to my 2012 JKU, just tapped into the thin yellow wire with white tracer. It's located on the right side of the passenger footwell in the wire cluster(about 25 wires) Bought the lights from Pepboys for $15.00. Very simple and cheap mod!

I don't remember if I posted here or not...

I tracked down the correct plugs for the factory footwell lights and put really bright LED's in them and made my own harness.

Try switching the wires around for the led strip.
