That's exactly what I did. I tapped into it al up in the sound bar where the domelight is

Attachment 227114Attachment 227115I think 07 was the last year they had that connection. Check it with a tester and your done. They will only light when your dome light comes on though. I keep mine lit red whenever the parking lights come on. Brightens up that dark area nicely.

I did the antenna removal mod. Took 30 secs and it looks clean without that stupid silver wire sticking up. Who listens to radio anyways but if you must know the reception still works fine with out it.

Funny enough. I removed my antenna a few months ago. I listen to Sirius. But I still get perfect signal for regular radio. I have a cb antenna in the rear. But I didn't like the stock one up front
