I do know. No offense taken. I turned the dome on before hooking up the wires. I think I'll attach a voltimeter tomorrow. Maybe the vampire splice missed the wires???

Are you using quick splice/clips? It might be that the wire is too thin to use them.

Sometimes those don't cut through the wire coating well enough to make contact with the metal wire. Try stripping & pull apart the coating to expose the wire first. I'd also recommend afterwards wrapping electrical tape to secure everything to prevent it from coming apart.

I appreciate all the help. Operator error... My quick splice was too big. A smaller gauge, and all is well.

Only reason I thought it was the quick splice was because I made the same error. Live and learn.
