Alright, so dumb question... I spliced into the yellow wire with white runner and connected a ground wire. My plan being I could put quick connects on the ends of the wires and cleanly attach some floor LEDs. My LEDs don't light.
Any suggestions on how to test the wire I spliced into the yellow/white and my ground? How can I verify they work assuming my led strip is bad?

Electrical is not my friend... It lights on a 9volt battery. I switched the wires around. I took note of which was +/-. Still nothing. I put a vampire clip on the yellow wire with white stripe. I grounded to the post next to the wire cluster where all the blacks are grounded. I am debating just cutting the wire to see if it kills my dome, and to verify it is indeed the proper wire.
