Just got around to doing mine today. I bought a 10pk of pre-wired orange 5mm LEDs and recepticles. I originally intended to do all 4 vents, 1 above the light switch, 2 above the HVAC controls, and front and rear cup holders. I didn't have enough time to pull the center console, so the cup holders will have to wait.

Turns out the vents are not as bright as I had hoped with one LED per, so I'll need to order more.

I might do footwell lighting later, but for now I just wanted some ambient light on the dash so I could see what I was doing at night

I went out at night and played with different mounting locations to get the effect I was looking for. Turned out great and they don't bother you while driving at all. Now all I need to do is swap all the gauge, radio and hvac lights over to blue....
So where did u wind up mounting them in the vents?

so has anyone had problems with switching their domelight bulb to a colored one and then the colored one not lasting very long and starting to flicker and die?

I got rid of the dome light all together and mounted LEDs in the sound bar.
