I am not able to lock the doors, auto start or panic switch my 2010 JK Sport immediately after I park and turn off the Jeep. If I wait 10 minutes or so, the power doors/auto start/ panic switch functions suddenly return when I press any of the buttons from my key fob. If I drive it again (for a considerable distance, as short distances seem to have no affect), I again cannot use the keyless entry or other key fob functions until after 10 minutes or so passes.

I just completed a road trip that was over 2,000 mi and the Jeep has been in the heat wave the entire time. Not until after more than half way through did I start having this issue. The Sherlock in me says that something is getting hot after a drive to the store or where have you and the keyless entry functions won't work until the Jeep has cooled down after about 10 minutes (my best guess).

Anyone else have this issue? I've already been told to disconnect the battery terminals and then reconnect them to see if the gremlin goes away, but before I do that, just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else and how they resolved it. Thanks a lot for your help!

You got good advice, try that first. That will reset the body control module.
