Kenwood DDX7039 installed in a JK 2DR

I was concerned at first. I talked with a shop, and they supported my thoughts. It really is not easy to get out a unit from our dash. Our If they are going to steal it, they will need more than 1 tool and more than 15 minutes. I kept stock speakers in, but when hard top is on I have a 12" sub with amp under the rear seat. I have them installed so that I can yank out the box and leave everything else unseen and permanent. I might get a Bestop deck cover for when I have the top off in the future to conceal, for now I just yank it out...
That's assuming they want to take it out nicely for you... I'm right on the fence right now as to putting my KVT-819DVD in or selling it tomorrow. In my opinion, if it gets stolen, it gets stolen. I just don't want to have to deal with some a-hole ripping my dash apart, destroying all my wires, and leaving me with a bill to replace all that can-bus junk....

The pics are posted in the OP - what are you looking for pictures of? The dash mount kit? It's just the standard DD kit for Chrysler/Jeep. He indicated he had to shave just a tad off the top for a perfect fit. Should be pretty self explanatory once you're doing the install..if its a little tight just take a file to it.

Hey this is great. I have the 6.5" version. A lil different but it's also Kenwood and I'm worndering, did you have to cut anything to fit it? I know mine didn't go in but I'm going to try it again soon so I wanted to know. If so, do you have more detalied pics of your install?
