I WANT to figure out how the hell to unlock my trunk when the keys are in the ignition and she is running!! I tried pushing the unlock on the key fob, I tried pushing the little elecrtonic unlock button on the door (power locks), I dunno what else to do!! I hate being at a red light and shutting her off just cuz I want somehting out of the very very back!!!
I tested this today.
Pulled into the driveway. The doors were still locked from the auto-lock at 15 mph (or is it 10 mph?).
I put the transmission in park. Engine still running at idle.
When I opened my door, all locks unlocked, including the tail gate.

This is because I have programmed the doors to unlock when either front door is opened from the inside.

If that is what you want, you can program yours the same way.

One of theses two procedures will do it for you. I can't remember which one. The second one is from the 2008 owner's manual.

Set the locks to auto-lock at 15 mph and auto unlock all when either front door is opened.

Get in the Jeep, insert the key. Cycle the key from insertion position to "on" position 5 times, upon completing the 5th cycle make sure the key ends in the "on" position, press the unlock switch down once. The locks will actuate and a tone will sound. Programming is complete.

Automatic Unlock Doors on Exit Programming
The Automatic Unlock Doors On Exit feature can be
enabled or disabled as follows:
1. Close all doors and place the key in the ignition.
2. Cycle the ignition switch between LOCK and ON and
then back to LOCK 4 times ending up in the LOCK
position.
3. Depress the power door unlock switch to unlock the
doors.
4. A single chime will indicate the completion of the
programming.
5. Repeat these steps if you want to return this feature to
its previous setting.
NOTE: Use the Automatic Unlock Doors On Exit feature
in accordance with local laws.

Default Came out of Costco last night...

Hit my remote to unlock and just blasted the poor people parked in front of me with the headlights. They were not amused.....

I would very much lick to get rid of the lights coming on and the honk when locked, I prefer not to have all that stuff going on. anyone have the code to turn all that off? I have a 2012 if that matters, thanks.

That information should be in your 2012 Owner's Manual.

The AEV Procal module lets you change all of these things, in any combination you want and as often as you want.
