Default Keeping headlights off when unlocking with remote

Had the Jeep at the dealer the other day for the "Hot Oil" recall and asked them to turn off the feature where the head lights come on when you unlock with the remote. They did it no charge and it worked but,,, they also turned off the signal light flash when you arm and disarm.

Is this the only way to turn off the head lights or are these two different features and they just turned the signal lights off by accident?

I don't mind if the lights go on when I UNLOCK (easier to find her...oh wait, she's Detonator Yellow! Easy to find!), but I hate when the lights go one when I LOCK and everyone tells me my lights are on. Will have to watch and see if anyone knows anything, lol.

Hope this helps -

Stop the "HONK" when you lock the doors using the fob.

Press and hold the Lock button on the fob for at least 5 seconds, while still holding the lock button press the Panic button and release both. Test operation.
Unlock all the doors with one press of the unlock on the fob.
Press and hold the Lock button on the fob for at least 5 seconds but no more than 10. While still holding the Lock button press and hold the Unlock button. Release both and test.

Turn off the lights flash when locking

Press the unlock button on the fob for 4 to 10 seconds. While still holding the unlock button press and hold the lock button. Release both and test.

I love the "lights on" and "honk when locked" features!

The confusion happens every time this subject comes up.

I've noticed that too. Odd.

If a dealer reflash is required, I'd like to know EXACTLY what feature needs to be turned on/off so ONLY the headlights are disabled. I LIKE the parking lights to come on but I see no reason for the HEADLIGHTS to be on until I crank the engine (or about 30 seconds, whichever comes first). When the battery becomes marginal, the last thing I need or want is the headlights on before I crank. In addition, I do a lot of camping and the lights coming on doesn't make you a popular person with people enjoying the dark and sky gazing.

Yea it is annoying to unlock and have the headlights on, I just turn the headlight switch on and off and they shut off..

I shut my horn off for the alarm enable because I get home at 6am from work and don't want to wake the neighbors (yes, I'm that nice).

What I would like is for the parking lights to blink when I lock her but the headlights to stay off. The headlights can be bothersome when they come on.

I WANT to figure out how the hell to unlock my trunk when the keys are in the ignition and she is running!! I tried pushing the unlock on the key fob, I tried pushing the little elecrtonic unlock button on the door (power locks), I dunno what else to do!! I hate being at a red light and shutting her off just cuz I want somehting out of the very very back!!!
