I like them both. I bought the KC Apollo 100W driving lights because the wiring harness included the relay and is a perfect fit for the JK.
KC HiLiTES 151 - KC HiLites 6" Apollo Pro Series 100 Watt Driving Lamp System with Stone Guards in Black - Quadratec

With the relay you can power the light switch from your high beams. The switch activates the low current coil of the included relay that powers the lights directly from the battery.

1) Minimal load on existing light circuits.
2) No interference with CAN bus.
3) Full power from battery to lights.

I will install mine as soon as love-bug season is over here in central Florida.

Both good. No complaints about either. Hella cost less, if were talking 500 series. KC is metal and will take more abuse. Ive personally used both and honestly they both perform fine for what Ive done off-road.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking about getting fogs and didn't know if one was brighter than the other. I recently had the hella 500 ordered from 4wheelparts and was waiting on them then I got a call saying they've had those lights ordered since last October and the wouldn't ship till mid June so I cancelled them

You can usually find the Hella fogs at local auto parts stores. $70-80. Or any of our vendors can prolly get them to you for that.

Speaking from experience of owning both, Hellas hands down. The composite housings are much better than metal that rusts. Add hid system to the Hellas and you have an insane light in front of you.

I would spend a little more and go with PIAA.

I currently have two sets of KC's and have no issues with rusting. I've had Hella's and broken every single one.
PIAA bulbs are the best option for replacement bulbs though.

How did you break ALL your hella lights?...

Must have got hit head on by another car. My Hellas are 5 years old, have been on 3 different vehicles and are still in perfect condition. My one set of kc daylighters rusted in one year.

Piaas are way overpriced for what they are. I had a set of 540s in ion yellow, they put out good light, but one of the grills broke, and the coating flaked off them.
