Default KC reverse lights

Just installed a set of back up lights (KC 517). It only took about 25 minutes to get them in and the wires in place. Prob about 40 minutes counting the fine tuning. I was able to mount the relay inside and, thanks to jk-forum found the right wire to tap into. Thinking about adding the "switch kit" or just making one so I can turn them on if needed.

Yep, comes with long green wire to run up front. I mounted them in the stock bumper holes in the frame, the bolts the kit came with bolted right in.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it's nothing earth moving. 100X better than before and more than enough to help you back down a trail (my use) or hookup a trailer. The optional switch would be useful, allowing you to cast extra light to the rear if you needed to work on something or help set up camp. Think I am just going to buy the pieces myself, saw a switch that looks just like the KC switches I have, at Advance Auto Parts, run power to it and plug it into the relay.

And yes 55 watt

I had the same lights for a few years. they worked great for me. I hooked them up to a switch on the dash, i didnt tap into the reverse lights. not i have the ones built into the LoD rear. I may install the old lights to my rack in the back. angle them out to the sides a bit.

Looks good ... but I'd be afraid of breaking them off on the first trail by mounting them that low.

The reverse light mod is one of my favorite mods. Especialy helpful after the tinted window mod.

X2...I had a hitch cover and broke it off, so I'm afraid I'd break the lights off. Anyone mounted anywhere different than under the bumper?
