Default Kc light wires

Just installed KC Daylighters on my windshield and used rugged ridge rocker switch. I connected the white wire directly to the battery. They work with No problems as of yet. The LED light on the switch stays on however. Will this eventually drain the battery? Was surprised the switch did not come with any directions. I connected the white wire closest to the LED on the switch and the green wire in the middle. Does this sound right?
