I have a 8" Pioneer sub under the rear seat, and apparently I got a defective one because it just stopped working after a few days (wired correctly, etc). So, while I was waiting for the replacement, I turned off the high pass filter on the DB651s and honestly didn't miss the sub. Amazing speakers. I'm pushing everything with a small Alpine amp MRX-v60, fits under the passenger's seat. Everything is totally hidden except the speakers in the sound bar, I used the Polk grills.

Did you polyfill?
I didnt poly fill, that may be my next step!

I am sure someone on here can tell you that....but I had my amp installed by Imagine Audio In Cherry Hill. They took care of everything for me.

JL Audio makes something called clean sweep which allows Oem headunit connection. Not sure of another way though.

Through the Years of installing car audio systems, Jul audio was the only subwoofer I used. They are the best. Anyone know if they have a stealth box for the unlimited? This post got me wanting a system again.

Yes they do offer a stealth box for the JKU. It mounts to the right side of the rear cargo area. Uses a 13" sub.

I had the Jl stealth box in my 09 jk Rubi on a jl 500/1 amp. it will blow your mind how good it sounds!!

To any one reading this DO NOT WASTE your money on the JL clean sweep. PAC makes a converter that plugs into the back of the radio that will give you RCA jacks. It is full range and the radio can not adjust it, however its perfect for a sub and amp that a crossover built in. I had the clean sweep and hated it. the PAC is so much better.

Ok so now for my question.. I just trader in the 09 Rubi in for a 2013 10th Anniversary Rubicon unlimited. At some point jeep switched to Alpine from the Infinity. Infinity was twice as good as the Alpine. Anyway my problem now is that i want to install my stealth box into my 2013 but the Factory sub set up is different. The factory enclosure includes the rear seat belt housing and covers the more of the right side, it also has a 12 volt power jack all built into the plastic enclosure. Is there a kit that i can buy to remover the factory sub so i can install the Jl Stealth?
Thanks in advance.

I wanted to to add something that i forgot to mention. The clean sweep is a night mare to adjust and set up. To wire it correctly you must tap into the each wire going to each speaker and must be +/- correct or you can not program it. this takes hours of work and running wires all around your jeep. the PAC that i used plugs into the back of the radio and takes about 15-20 min to install the its run the RCA wires. The only control you have with this is volume. From What I learned with the factory amp, it actually controls Fad and balance treble and bass .

I specifically didnt get the Sahara for this reason, I didnt want the upgraded stereo, knowing I was going to replace it anyway. I am not sure how you would bypass the sub that comes factory. I know most people have been complaining about the Alpine system.
