Some pics of the backup camera/switches/duct tape!

duct tape!

Switches (in order) Backup light, backup camera, monitor power, CB, rock lights, PC power

Camera on monitor, looked way better new!

Camera, this $15 amazon cheapie did not survive winter very well, but the way I mounted/wired it should be a very simple replacement.

ok, since I bought 2 cheap cameras off amazon a while back, I decided to toss the one I had on there and replace it with the other new one. Hard to tell but the image is way better, the lens is way less scratched! Took me longer to find the damn thing than to replace it.

Just add display and USB or Bluetooth wireless keyboard.
Faster? While I appreciate the fact that the size (4-4.5" inches square) is better suited for this environment even the NUC hasn't quite caught up to speed with a standard desktop i3 sandybridge chip, if I want to put and i5 in mine I can any time I want to, and would crush a NUC!

That all being said, at some point of course the NUC will be faster, but as you saw this project started in 2012.

Also I have all USB headers being used, which amounts to about 9 USB devices, with no powered hub required.

A Mac Mini would have been easier, cooler and made more sense.

No offense but mac mini's are lame, overpriced, require a self absorbed egotistical title of "genius" to repair, and they are slower.

But I will agree the size is better.
