I replaced all the speakers and that made a huge difference. I am very happy with the results and the 430N head unit.

Did that include the woofer and if so what did you replace it with?

Maybe you just need a Better speaker. Mine sound great on about 80w each side. Try firming them up with some sound deadener. If that doesn't work. Get some resin and resin the entire inside of the pod. Then fill with polyfill, it should help out. The issue is the pod is plastic. It's a flexible plastic that has a very high resonating frequency shouldn't be high enough for the midbass to be gone. Try getting some or making some foam rings to fit from the pod to the dash. Eliminating the dead space between the pod and dash opening. You would be amazed at the amount of sound that can be lost from a half an inch away from the dash. Instead of the sound coming out into the jeep, the waves "go outward" behind the dash. It should enhance a little bit of clarity for sure

I did in fact replace the woofer with an Audio Pipe speaker. It's really heavy duty, but I seldom turn up the volume to hear it.
I was amazed that the Infinity speakers were nothing more than cheap paper stock type speakers.
Just changing the speakers made a tremendous change.

Amen! I replaced them with Sony 4-way speakers and the difference was dramatic.

I tried poly fill in the front speaker boxes. The left one works alot better. But the right side is crap. I tried experimenting with different amounts but no change. I tried adding some air holes but I still get that plastic vibration sound coming from right side. Im about to create my own wooded box for it.

I replaced all of the speakers, the tweeters, and added a little bass tube in the back. Upgraded the head unit with a Sony one and place a inline amp by alpine that hides up under the dash out of the way. The bass tube is powered by its own amp outside the tube. Way better than stock, I'm glad I did it! I was tired of the factory system with the top off. Don't have that problem now.

I replaced all the factory speakers and installed a new DVD/Nav in-dash. Will be adding an amp and two 10's in a few weeks.

Fronts: Memohis Audio MC6202 (6.75") bolted right into the factory boxes without adapters using self tapping screws.
Tweeters: Massive Audio CT-1A tweeters. Had to file out the pod to get them to fit.
Rears: Memphis Audio MC62 (6.5") used a set of thin adapters with factory grills. Also spray foamed the inside of the sound bar.(got rid of resonance but would not recommend doing again)
In-Dash: Pioneer AVIC-5000NEX
