jeep is dead, please help!
Thanks for the help everyone here's the deal. I drove my Jeep home last night from work at 9 p.m. And this morning I went to drive to work at 9 a.m.. I used the keyless remote to unlock the doors and got in the car and everything was working fine, the lights came on and the gauge cluster was lit up and everything seemed to be working OK. I put the key in the ignition and pressed the clutch down and went to turn the key over to start the car and all the electronics literally just turned off. The car didn't even begin to turn over or anything. Every single light in the car turned right off the same time and the Jeep was just sitting there with no life. This sucks! Please help. Thanks!!

My battery failed like that. There is a thread on here somewhere. Started at home no problem, drove to work, went to restart to pull in shop after pulling work trucks out....totally dead, wouldn't take a jump from a jumper pack or the work truck, New battery all good again. I used a Auto Zone Duralast Platinum H-7 AGM. biggest that would fit in the 2012. they have a slightly smaller direct fit which is the H-6 i believe. HTH

Mine did this the other night. My battery was fine. It was like the Jeep thought it was in gear and would not turn over at all (mine's an auto). Tried jumping it... Nothing. Disconnected the battery for 5 minutes, reconnected it, it started right up. Been fine since.

Double check you have a solid connection to the battery and your cables are not corroded. I had exactly this behavior and it was caused by a corroded positive terminal connector.
Car literally acted perfectly then acted like a dead battery the next. It's a fine line I guess.

Interesting. Mine is a 2012 with about 20,000 miles on it. So I just tried to jump start it, when I connected both batteries together and I opened the door to my car there was at least the dashboard lights on unlike prior connection to the other car battery. But when I try to start it nothing happened and the lights wouldn't come back on either. What the heck.
