My old gen nano is flawless plugged into the USB. The iPod touch works 95% of the time but occasionally freezes up if I am flipping through songs.

I have an iPod nano and older 30gb iPod. Both do not work when hooked up to the USB in the console. My iPod is recognized on the radio but I cannot play any music. I looked online and both of these iPods should work with uconnect.

Yea, it seems like it only works with newer iPods and iPhones.

If you want to organize files in a play order, they are organized by typical windows alpha numeric order, which means you can put songs in order by using numbers in front of the file name.

So for example....say you have 100 songs, you need to name them like this.

001 Song Name
002 Song Name
003 Song Name
etc.

If you have 1000 Songs, then you do the following....
0001 Song name
0002 Song name
etc.

I had similar problem with my 3GS. Now own a iPhone 5. I don't bother plugging it into the USB port. I Bluetooth and that's it. I got tired of hearing the first song in the alphabet. Not to mention when going thru the menu... If I paused for more then 2 sec. It would start Bach at a. I went and bought a USB plug for the switched 12v outlet to keep phone charged. I do like the flash drive option. I think I may try that.
