Default Install KC Highlights - Please help!

Hello everyone, I just recently picked up the KC Slimlites. I have been looking for a detailed write-up on how to install these step by step for a total novice. I know nothing about wiring, etc. Most posts on here seem to be a few pictures, which seems to be enough for most people to get this done. Im really worried I would do something wrong and damage the electrical system on the jeep. I dont know where to ground, where to mount the relay, how to get the wire through the firewall, how to take panels off, how to wire the lights through the bumper, etc.

Can anyone point me to a really verbose tutorial for a total lighting moron such as myself?

I'm not sure that everything your are asking is in one write up, but here are some electrical and lighting write ups you may want to look into. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show....php?t=42710#4

The directions that come with the slimlights are really good, and the wiring harness is already wired for you.

Basically
Yellow & White to the battery

Black to a ground somewhere, any piece of metal, if you look around you can find some bolts that are small enough to put the ring through, but I just cut the wires, loosened the first bolt I found, wrapped the wire around it and re tightened it.

Wires in black stretch wrap stuff go to he lights, black to black on the lights, red to red on the lights

Green & White go into your jeep wherever you want your switch. there is a hole on the driver's side of the fire wall that you can just poke through with a metal coat hanger (tape the wires to the hanger, and jab it on through and pull it out the other side)

The panel on on the left of the steering wheel can be pulled off and your coat hanger / wires should be waiting there for you

Drill a hole, slap the switch in, hook up the three wires to the switch, put your fuses in (you did read the directions and remove them before continuining the install right ) Install the relay, put the KC sticker on your jeep, and flick the switch

Thanks guys, much good advice here!

I am planning on adding 4 of the 130 watt slimlites. This would equal 43amp draw on the battery (I think). Will this be too much draw?

43 amps is correct. Watts divided by volts equals amps. From what I remember these jeeps come with a 160 amp alternator. It should run those lights without breaking a sweat.
