And I'm pretty sure the built-in stereo is a Double DIN, but I'm not sure...

Is it?

And I saw the FAQ mentioning I need a harness if I don't have the infinity upgrade?

If you are going to replace the H/U, you do not need a harness but it makes things a lot easier.

The front of the factory stereo is double DIN. The rear of it is not though. If you are going to replace it with a single DIN unit you will also need a pocket to fill the gap. If you replace it with a double DIN unit there is a brace in the rear that must be cut to make room for the double DIN. It is not difficult to access or cut.
