The sound greatly improved and I am very happy with the quality of the speakers. I must say that there is still a need for a sub. I am going to do this in time.

In addition to the speakers being great in sound quality, they are a marine grade speaker (perfect for a Jeep owner who may get a little "damp" from time to time.)
Did you have the Infinity System or just the base speakers? Assuming just base because you mention the need for a sub, just making sure.

Have you updated all the other speakers as well?

Default Speakers replacement

I only had the stock Jeep speakers and not the Infiniti system. I am in the market for a small strong sub speaker. Do you happen to know where and what is out there? I did replace all of the 4 stock speakers, but left in the stock above dash tweaters.

I had a Kenwood KSC-SW1 powered sub in my 04 TJ and loved it so much that when the first one got drowned I replaced it. I'm going to put it in the new JK when I replace the factory head unit. Here is a link http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wbW7uVP...sp?I=113KSCSW1 I split my listening time between rock and country and like the fact that I can dial down the base if needed.

I also put in Polk marine rated speakers and I am happy with the upgrade to the sound. However the install into the dash is a PITA! Also had to modify the factory tweeter housing, but that only took a couple of minutes with a sanding disk on my Dremel.

Dash = Polk Audio DB6500 6 1/2" Componets
Roll Bar = Polk Audio DB 651s.

I purchased the above from Crutchfield since the DB6500's were on sale and they supply the mounting adapter brackets and wiring adapters for free.

Good Luck!

Is it the same method for the 2008 Wrangler?
