no I don't think that will work, could be wrong.

Check out Amazon.com and search "led strip lights".
I just got a 5 meter roll of color changable, SMD5050, water proof, with a remote for $35.00. when you do a search it will lead you to finding a musical hook up device for about $33.00.

Not sure but I think I would try putting them in series on the positive side.

No way that will work. The positive and negative has nothing to do with power of the LED's. Wire it separately..

No I'm pretty sure if you hook them in series( speaker line in positive to led positive the led neg to physical speaker pos)with the speaker ( use the hot(positive side)) you will get flickering led's to the beat of the music as the current flows threw the diodes(led's). Only problem is resistance might not be high enough and u could get current spikes that will blow your led's so try at your own risk, and BTW Polarity DOES matter in an LED strip because they are just diodes and will only let current flow one direction.

Wow, so yeah I just did some looking at it does work if you wire in series. I would still be leary if you have quality speakers, wire them separately. Do it at your own risk but it should work

Won't hurt your speakers but quite possible you'll blow your led's depending on volume
