Default HID Kit questions

I just got a 2011 JKU Sahara. Does anyone know if the bulb out warning eliminators are necessary? Had HIDs on both of my last vehicles and am disappointed with the light output in the JK. Where is the best place to purchase a quality kit, and which kit have had the best luck? I can get a DDM/Apexcone 35w kit from the same place I bought one for my Mazda for $69. Also, what are people getting; Hi/Low or Low only? Lastly, is everyone just using the basic wiring in the kits or ordering a wiring harness?

Any kit reviews or suggestions.

Thanks,
Tyler

Does no one have HIDs on their JK? Really would like to add them to mine and would like some feedback on what people are using. Any info would be appreciated. Let me know what works well with JKs and what kits people like. Is anyone using the 55w kits or just the 35w. I had the 55w Apexcone kit on my Mazda and loved them.

I do. I didn't like the lights themselves so I bought the IPF lenses from Quadratec ($30 each) Then I put xentec 35w bi-zenon HID's in. Came with relay harness. Don't bother with the adapter harness cause you'll never use your stock lamps again. Go to Auto -zone and buy a pair of hi temp h4 plugs and splice them in. You will need to add the capacitor and diode ti the relay harness to keep your hi beam relays from buzzing. (the power from the can-bus is modulated(pulses). One bit of advise, buy 2 hid kits so you have spare parts. You can't go to Autozone for a bulb or a power module if one stops working. Do a search for tons more info. Some for, some against.

If you get the DDM H13 kit it comes with all you need you do not have to get H4 plugs and splice them. I have had mine in for over a year and work great. Just PM me if you need some pictures of mine to see.

I fell in lust with the LED's here on base. The light from the 24v is amazing, If the 12v is even close then they have to be great.

From the looks of it they are 250-300 each right? Sold seperately for bikers if I'm guessing right. Anyone with these out there that can give the fo sho that they are sold indv. for that price?

Leds actually only run on approximately 1.5 volts. The 12v versions just use different circuitry to get the voltage. They will be the same brightness, just make sure you buy from an established company like Rigid.

Should have thought about that. Good info. Am I right that it will be 500-600 for the pair?

I definitely hate the factory lights. Goto http://www.ddmtuning.com to get your HID kit. That's where I'm getting mine at. I know for a fact you need the canceler for the kit. I priced everything roughly over a $100 bucks. They have a lifetime warranty. So if something went wrong with your kit, you get it replaced. I order thru them before and loved there kit. I did have an issue on one of my seals and they replace it at no cost.
