HID Headlights not working
Hello all,
I bought a set of HID headlights a while back. They were used so i'm not sure the brand.
last night my passenger headlight did not turn off, which of course drained my battery. Now neither of my headlights won't turn on... anyone have any clue what the issue could be?
Thanks

i recently purchased a set of Xentec HID's. After several tries to get them to work, i found the single socket method no good, they way the come out of the box no good. You must used a harness ( i found them on ebay) that contains a capacitor harness h goes between the ballist and factory socket. This corrects the voltage the car sees so the canbus system will not shut off the head light curcuit.

If you just had one side not turning on, then I'd say it was a dead bulb. You could swap the bulbs side the side to check. If you had 2 issues in 2 days then its a wiring or ballast issue. Try swapping your ballasts side to side and see if it resolves or moves. Check all your wiring for damage and shorts to ground.

Sorry, just reread the post. I'd guess you have some wiring damage. Or, if you are using a single capacitor unit to feed both ballasts as I am, it could be the capacitor.
