Wow are you really getting that butt-hurt over a comment on the internet? Go take your meds. I think I need a disclaimer on everything I say: "Hey lookout here comes a joke" or something. wow.

As far as the loss of hearing thing goes... it's my choice and my responsibility. Rest assured that if my hearing goes bad you won't be affected in any way.

the .pdf and the organizations it asks you to support.

"Boom cars have been closely linked to murder, aggression, gangs, drugs, speeding, reckless driving, DUI,
underage drinking, and other crimes...."

Thats my favorite! I know the day i put my system in my old car, i joined a gang killed a few people, drove 150 mph, all while drinkin liquor!

Wow, a lot of misinformation. Back in the late 90's I used to compete in spl ( sound pressure level) competitions. The system I ran was so loud you couldn't hear yourself if you screamed to the top of your lungs. I take a hearing test every year at my job, and my hearing is excellent. I talked to one of the people who administer the tests about this very subject. She put it to me this way. Think of the tiny hairs in your ears as blades of grass. If you walk across the grass it lays down, but it pops back up. If you were to walk across the same area for a prolonged period of time then the grass would die. I normally kept the bass turned down to reasonable levels when I was just listening.

Yes, but I voluntarily go to the symphony, rock concert, bar, etc.
Having some inconsiderate a$$wipe with a rattling bass bomb pull up next to or behind me is hardly voluntary.

(Note to the bar smoking comment: I'm a strong anti-smoker that's even more strongly opposed to smoking bans.)

ok, i wasn't gonna read the whole four pages, but i got so excited that i couldn't stop!
then, i said to myself, "i'm not gonna post a reply" even though i have strong opinions about this subject.
now, i just want to know one thing... in my mind i'm picturing all of you saying these things and trying to put an age to your comments. would you add your age so we can figure out if the old saying is true? "if it's too loud then you're too old!"
i'll go first-i am 32. i love loud music! been pulled over b4 for "bumpin" it

I am 28. Only had one noise pollution ticket, but it was for painting 100ft or so of a parking lot with tire tread in the late 90's. The cop was writing me a ticket before the smoke even cleared.
