Some of them are better. Some of them are worse than factory tweeters. Some are louder, some are not. Most of the better aftermarket tweeters are actually less efficient than the factory, so without upgrading the amplification in the jeep, they would seem pretty weak. The better aftermarket speakers (tweeters) trade off efficiency for accuracy. But, like I eluded to, some aftermarket speakers are pretty much worse than the factory stuff. You really need to spend pretty good money to get substantially better sound, since it is kinda a "Pandora's box" when upgrading. Better speakers demand more power, more power demands better signals ( it will amplify noise too that was inaudible at lower power levels), and more power needs some attention spent on the electrical demands. And so on. Also, aftermarket speakers, while usually capable of better frequency response and octave to octave balance, are designed to sound great in a perfect space...not your Jeep, while factory systems are designed to accommodate the vehicle acoustics. If you go aftermarket, plan on some extensive tuning to get the most from your investment.
