Default Help picking best component/rear/sub speakers for my 5 channel amp ,only 40 rms x 4 ?

Hey guys,
I have an 07 jku sahara with factory infiniti system. Im looking to replace every speaker . Front component / rear sound bar and 8" sub
Im running everything from a pioneer avh-x2500bt double din , and used a PAC rp4-ch11 to retain factory amp

So I already have a 5 channel amp ( Kenwood KAC-959 ) It runs 40x4 watts RMS + 120 watts to sub @ 4ohms . Obviously its not the most powerful amp but it'll be sufficient to make for a decent system thats better then the infiniti setup , plus i don't want to spend anymore

Initially i wanted polk db6501 components for the front ( 100 watts rms )/ DB651 for the rear ( 100 watts rms) / and some type of shallow mount 8" to fit in the factory enclosure , but I'm worried they will be underpowered ??? is that the case or will they run fine ? . Is there a better set that will sound better with my amp that anyone can think off ?

I would get a better amp. You will be seriously underpowering them. You want an amp with the same RMS rating or better output as the speakers. But for a 5ch amp it's going to be a bit expensive. Alpine makes some great ones and JL also. You can also do a polk for a little cheaper one but still good

Check out the ppi p900.5. Probably the best bang for your buck and small as hell. It's a lot of power so you'll want to start out with the gains low.

As far as the components, those aren't bad, but they aren't great either. Find a set of components that are 75-100w per side. I'll tell you from experience. With that amount of power our factory front pods hate life. I've completely sound deadened the interior and exterior, and filled with poly fill. They still move and you can still tell they are in a plastic enclosure. But they still sound good and get ridiculously loud.

You could also benefit from a headunit with 4v outs. It's a noticeable increase in sound quality. Since you already have one don't bother.

Just my two cents worth, can't hardly go wrong with Alpine Type R. I love mine but they love power so amp accordingly.

The Kenwood is rated at 4 ohms. It's twice as powerful as the stock 2 ohm Infinity amp. It should work fine with those speakers.

I have a set of Polk DB6501 components, a set of DB651S coax and a DB840dvc subwoofer w/grille I'll make you a deal on.

I lost interest when I realized I had to replace / add an amp to make it worthwhile.

The sub was installed for 10 minutes. (the bass was to low with the Infinity amp) You would need a 1" mdf spacer to install the subwoofer in the standard enclosure. The others are brand new. I opened the boxes to check them out, but they are all there. PM me if you want them.

The Kenwood at 40w RMS per channel is not enough to properly run 100w RMS speakers. It can run the rears ok but not the fronts. If he wants the best setup he needs proper power output.

Oh and what are you charging for your setup?

The DB6501 and the DB651S are both rated at 92db /1 watt efficiency. The subwoofer is 85db/1 watt. That's why the added power is needed for the sub. It's doing all the heavy lifting so the midrange speakers don't have to. Ask Polk Audio what the minimum required is.
I have 250watt rated house speakers that require a minimum 30watts.

My understanding is you have to double the watts to add each 3db. 107db at 32watts. That's still pretty loud in my book.

I have $263 invested, depending on shipping lets say around $200.

Hhhmmmmmmmm I will let you know. I have to get a jeep first again (trust me I'm trying to make deals) and depending on what system it has I may be interested.
