using my iphone 4 and spotify of iheart radio. I cant not get this to work either bluetooth or using usb cable... Anyoen have similar problems or have a fix? Also sounds as if the stock deck can not handle the steaming...

i have a 2011 jk 4dr. I believe i have the media Center 130. RES+RSC... does that sound right?

Same thing happens with Pandora or listening with. An audiobook.

Basically you've got to trick the iPhone and radio.

Let me explain.

When you turn your Jeep on your iPhone syncs up via Bluetooth and u connect

You have to start streaming music and then start your radio app.

Now on the 130 RES you don't have touchscreen like the mygigs

Maybe it was a coencedence or not but I was able to press the button on my steering wheel that looked like a play button on a CD player and it would work

The other way to do it with the USB cable is once your app starts playing go into your airplay icon and make sure it is set on dock cable instead of u connect.

You have a 2011 Wrangler with the RES radio, do you know th ebuild date for the vehicle? (there should be a tag on the drivers door, look for code MDH).
Also have you hhad (or done) the Uconnect SW update that came out to the dealers in 6-2011? This is a TSB that can be done by either the dealer or by you if you'd like to do it.

Build date is 4/2011 I have not done a update to the radio? How would I know if I need one?
