I've used them for two months now (PBR300x1 and x4). Paid about $120 each for them. Sound great, don't overheat and put out more power than their rating according to the test sheet in the box (85w x4 and 310w x1). I couldn't find a negative review of them before I bought them. Glad I tried them out. They both fit together in the factory amp location. Good luck.

After looking into it some more this is why I think I'll purchase. 2 sets of Polk db6501 and an alpine pdx-v9. The pdx I believe will fit under the dash in the factory location, put out 4x100 rms and leave a 5th mono channel rms 500 for a later sub install. The pdx runs about $400 so I think that's decent given the fact it will power everything with just one amp. Here's my new question.. With 500x1 rms, can I connect 2 JL 10w1v2-4 parallel and be safe. The subs are rated at 300rms, but with 2 will 500 rms be okay from the amp. From what I have read I believe so but let me know if I am wrong.

A Pair of 4 ohm speakers "paralleled" will present a 2 ohm load to the amp. The amp can handle this load "Bridged". But I don't think the amp is capable of running your subwoofer bridged. and your 4 speakers unbridged. I just don't know. As far as the power differance, you can always adjust the gains to the lower powered speakers.
