Default Hella 500FF's

I'm working on a write-up for the install of two sets of Hella 500FFs - but wanted to post a quick note and warning. The two sets I just installed (windshield and bumper) make the 2nd and 3rd set of Hellas I've installed on various Jeeps and all 3 have had bad instructions. The instructions clearly indicate that the black wire coming from the housing shold be connected to the black split wire in the loom - that is the wire that connects the two lights to the power at the relay - and the blue wire from the housing is the ground. THAT IS BACKWARDS. If you do it this way they will never work. It's of course simple to fix, just switch the connections. Thought I'd try and save anyone the headaches I've had in the past.

I'm about to wire up two sets. I'll see what's going on.

Cool. Check the wiring diagram that's included and then "jump" one light with some alligator clips or something to the battery and see if it's right. That's how we figured out mine were backwards.
