You can get the Peterson Manufacturing LED headlights and harnesses from forum vendor 4ws.com for $394.90 shipped.
These are the same lights as the KC, but without the branding. Peterson makes them for KC.

I might have to send them a PM. I would be happy with an extra $50 in my pocket

Comes down to personal choice.
I went with the Truck-Lite and for half the price of the JW, why, I have plenty of lights for off road and when I drive at night they work for me, better than the factory.
Again, personal choice.

If Peterson's are the same as KC, is there a big difference in warranty that would sway the decision?
Peterson: $349.95 + adapter if you need it (I have aftermarket harness and don't need it). Lifetime warranty (limited how?)
KC: $450 with
Truklite: $389.99 + adapter. 3 yr warranty.

Someone here said - "JW by far. Even spread, no hot spots. perfect...."
Headlights with "Even spread, no hot spots", do not exist.
Every headlight, LED or non-LED, has hotspots.
Both KC and JWSpeaker have prominent hotspots (they're pretty similarly made).
TruckLite have the smallest hotspots -- the small 'x's. Other than that, the spread is more even (and wider than KC or JW, so you see more of the road or trail side), and the cut-off is a very straight and horizontal. This allows aiming the whole wide light spread a bit higher that with KC or JW, as there's no hotspot above the cutoff line to blind on-coming traffic. The high beams are a joy.
KC vs TruckLite - LOW beam:
KC vs TruckLite -- HIGH beam:
The KC's light pattern is more like spots than headlights.
