Default Headlight Suggestions Please

Looks like Santa missed some clues the wife gave on something she REALLY wanted for her Jeep. Her Birthday is just around the corner so hopefully I can recover What she was hoping to find under the tree was some halo type headlights. Like the ones shown below.

The problem I have is I would like to kill two birds with one stone and replace the whole lamp for a better one that has the halo rings already installed. We all know the stock lights are a bit crappy. The Oracle Rings are to be installed in the stock lamps. I'm not exactly stoked about cooking my lamps to open them up. Even if this went well I would still be left with crappy lights that just look pretty! (My GPA used to say you can polish a terd, but in the end its just a shinny TERD!). I have looked at better lamps like the Truck-Lites, but they don't have a halo version.

Does anyone know of a lamp that would be an upgrade from stock and have halos?

...and before the legal comments fly, she is either considering the white halos to be used as DRLs or green to be used as accents. Both colors and uses are legal in Ohio.

I personally would skip the halos and spend money on something that actually improves your visibility. Inexpensive options would be IPF or Hella, or you could bite the bullet and drop in some LEDs

There's a guy that makes some great HID Projector setups. He's decently priced, they look great, can have Halo light option, and much better light output.

I know he's on FB, and there's a great thread on here about his work.

Thanks for the replies...

While the light output is the second goal, making the wife happy is the first! She wants Halos and I intend to get them for her. I will look in to the HID versions available. Although I'm not sure how I feel about them. Does anyone have any experience with them? My car has them and while they are nice where they put light there is a predominant line where they stop. (Their cast of light is bright right up until its not... There is no fade-out) On-coming cars often think I am flashing them when I drive on one hilly roads as the nose of my car rises and dips. I wonder if this would be the same on the Jeep retrofits???

I'd say that LEDs are they way to go. I swapped every light, every bulb I could possibly get to to LED, inside and out and I am very, very pleased.
I bought the Truck-Lite head lights and Vision X LED replacement fog lights and they are a great combo.

When the Truck-Lites come on, the theme of 'Halo' begins to play!

God bless Tennessee! Lord willing, I'll be joining you there in 2013!
