Default Have 90/100W H4s, need some lights to put them in

Had a Car audio store for many years, sold european lights as well.

Where to get some lights like the old euros, perhaps w/the glow bulb (have boxes of those bulbs too).

Low beam straight line cutoff, raised on the right so you could see the side of the road.

Adjusted correctly, low beams can't blind oncoming traffic, high beams reached a *very* long way, nearly impossible to over drive them.

Is such a thing still available?

I know a little bit about lighting. But not much on fixture design. You say that you have the lamps that you want to use. Do you have access to lampholders? That would probably be the biggest concern. Then you would need to find ( or build ) the fixture. I would probably check your local junk yard for lenses / fixtures.

I have no idea what that means.

I have 90/100W H4s and need some headlights.

The euros lights had a beam like this:

The IPF replacement headlights have the sharp cutoff and kick up to the right. Give Northridge a call. Funny thing is that the H4 bulbs that come with them were called fatboys too.

Daniel Stern has e-code Cibie headlights that will take those. Same pattern as you describe but for lhd. I have the Marchals (sp?) That tested better than the Z-beams that are no longer available from him. Running H4s properly on a JK will require relays. These as well as complete harnesses are available from DS. On my phone now so you'll have to look up web site. Hope this helps.

I missed a couple of things.

90\100s will be seriously bright and unlawful for street use.

Even legal bulbs are so much more useful in euro lights.

After installing, I decided I didn't need upgraded fog lights.

I would take my lights over any LED or HID lights I've seen in a JK so far.

With proper lights, w/cutoff as I explained, no one would ever complain, the "legal" crap doesn't compare.

Ask me how I know after 30 years of using them.

Relays to deliver serious amps comes as no surprise.

Screw real HIDs, not spending hundreds if not thousands of $$$$.

Fatty: go to DanielSternLighting.com and get a pair of Cibie 7" round H4 headlamps for $74.95 each. Hella also makes a good quality E-code H4 7" round headlamp for a little cheaper, but the pattern of the Cibie is better. Throw what ever H4 bulb you want, but the 70/65W Osram Plus 50 for $22 each is as high as I would go on-road. Bulbs with higher wattage than that on-road is excessive and irresponsible, but others will argue against that: take it for what it is, just remember the higher wattage to bulb, the shorter its lifespan will be. High performance H4 bulbs are consumable items in headlamps, and you'll need to replace them every six months or so, so get a few spares. Also, because the JKs operate the headlamps using the new-fangled CANBUS system, bypassing the computer using a relay wiring harness directly from the battery is the only way to get the most output from your new setup. You owned a shop so you know the importance of doing it right the first time. DanielSternLighting.com and RallyLights.com both make great quality wiring harnesses that are plug and play with the JK's stock headlamp wiring, or just make your own (it's easy enough). What I've outlined is the right way, of which others will agree.
