Default Has anyone?

So down the road I want to add a video system for the little one as my last car had one and it came in handy on long road trips... (she's 3 so basically anything over an hour) and I was wondering if anyone has added Headrest monitors to their JK? Can you cut the factory headrests and add universal monitors or is it easier to just remove the headrests and add some with the already installed?

Yeah I was looking at those too... I would just go to a site like Crutchfield and get some but they are almost all leather and I have cloth seats....

I did a search on amaz_n for car dvd player and found dual headrest with 7" screens installed for $270. They have a dvd player in each so kids can watch separate shows if you have two. Or they are hooked together so they can play one dvd and both watch on their own monitor. They have wireless headsets or can be played through fm modulator on jeep speakers. Easy install by removing factor headrest and installing the new ones. Wiring was no problem sense it only took a hot leg and a ground. I tied into the switched plug in the center console. Hardest part was wrapping all the long extra wire and tucking under the seat. They are "no name" units but when you open them to put in a disk, the DVD reading mechanism says "SONY" so it looks like some chinese company ripped off the sony internals into a no name housing. They work wonderfully. I put the black headrests in since I have black Iggees seat covers. They have grey ones that look to match a jeep interior also. The headrest has a zipped flap that covers the units so you can't tell there in there if you don't look hard. Cheap and easy mod for the kids.

That is an amazing deal! Do you have pics? Where do you park at night and do you lock the doors?

Leave my jeep alone. My pit bull sleeps in the back with his shotgun!

Here are some pics from the website and you may notice the vehicle they use to show them in. These are grey and listed for $296. Black were $279.
