GOBI light mount wiring?
I recently got a GOBI rack and will be mounting 4 aux lights soon. I was curious how others have wired theirs, since it doesn't seem like you can run wires inside the windshield light mount like other brands. Pics and info would be much appreciated!!

Hey bud I'll give you a bump... I ran my wires down the driver side of the light bar with some black wire loom and zip tied it to the bar and looks clean and not very noticeable.... check out some of the gobi rack threads and search through the pics I'm sure you will find some where you can see how they have done theres

Huh? My Gobi came with stoppered holes for running wires within the tubular framework. Just had to drill a hole in the plastic bottom cap to run wires up from the cowl. I run 4 LED bars on the front Stealth bar, and 2 in the rear. I added a quick disconnect for the rear lights, so rack could still be raised on its pivots. I used zip tie mounts to secure the front wire loom across the backside of the fairing.

The loom is just along the fairing, after the point where it comes throught the rack tubing. I just did it because I live in the snow and ice half the year and wanted to protect it. All splices and connections are soldered, greased, shrinkwrapped, then taped and covered with loom. Been good for over a year in all kinds of weather. To fish wire, just remove the rubber grommet at the top and push the wire down (bottom cap removed). Some pics might help (note the driver side run is for front lights, in the passenger side tube was run the rear lights, with quick disconnect):

how did you snake the wires through?
Nylon string
Vacume
Procedure:
Drill or locate entry hole.
Drill or locate exit hole.
Place vacume over lowest hole and turn on.
Feed string into upper hole.

I just ran my wiring inside the light bar. I also have a fifth light I ran to the rear.
For the rear I ran the line inside the long pipe of the rack as there were holes in the pipe for the wire to be hidden like with the light bar. I used some wire like baling wire to pull the electrical wire. Then I used an all weather connector to connect the rear line to the light bar so I can lift the back of the rack off separately from the light bar.
