Default Gen 2 Trucklites - Wiggle room after install?

Just installed my Trucklites today... holy awesome. These things are sweet.

Noticed though that one of the lights is a little loose compared to the other... basically one is in there solid and I can't move it, while the other one has some wiggle to it if I try to move it. I'm assuming this Is this OK? I unscrewed the retaining ring on the loose one, tried to secure the light better and then put the retaining ring back on, but I'm still able to move it a little.

Thanks for any input.

Several people had mentioned this, & used a bit of electrical tape on the 3 alignment notches. I did this on both of mine, they are very tight now.

This is the first I have heard of this.
The first gen Truck-Lites I bought were just as tight fitting as stock.
That' fellow's ideal with the tape sounds good.

Thanks. Should've done a search first... looks like there are a few threads on here about that. I'll try the tape and see how it works.

Ditto. One side was a little loose on mine too. Pinch of tape and no problem.

I'd have a problem if it is a fitment issue for the price they should fit with out jack legging your JK . Someone at Truck Lites dropped the ball in R&D.

fully agree. for almost $500 there should be zero fitment issues.

oh well. going to put the tape on after work today. noticed this morning on my ride in that the driver side (loose side) light wasn't even on. awesome. hopefully once it's in there more securely that should fix it

The truck lite headlights are a universal 7 in' design. They are NOT specifically made for the jk. If anything, the problem is Chrysler quality control not getting the sizing of the bucket correct.
