Front window controls just died
ARG! The front window controls for my 11' JK Wrangler 4 door just died. The control still operates the back windows though, just not the front. Anyone have any Ideas on a quick fix before I call up the dealer?

Doors have never been off an issue haven't checked the fuses yet... I've read a few other forums and it sounds like turning the jeep off and back on fixed it for a few people. I dislike that though, and I really like to know what causes problems so they don't come back.

There is a self-resetting circuit breaker in the TIPM that feeds the power windows.
If a window draws too much current, the breaker will pop, and stay popped until the ignition key is turned to the OFF position, at which point it will reset.
This could be an explanation of why turning the ignition off will make the windows work again.
However, this can't be the reason when, on a 4dr, the rear windows continue to work.
When only the front windows fail on the 4dr, and turning the ignition off brings them back, the only thing I can think of that would cause it is a problem on the circuit board in the front switch panel. It may be a case of reestablishing communications among the computer chips.
