Front marker lights are now my brake lights, why?

Front marker lights are now my brake lights, why?
So it's bloody cold up here, -23 and as of the last week my jeeps wiring has gone erratic. I pulled the power terminal off of the battery last week and I thought it fixed it but I was wrong.
When I apply my brakes my orange front marker lights light up. All my wiring is stock, all my lighting is working normal but this is just plain weird. It does it whether my lights are off, or on.
Any thing like this happen to anyone yet? Probable cause? Fix?
