Default Fog/Driving Light Question

I have an '09 JK which did NOT come with factory fog/driving lights; while working on my bumper design I came across the wire protector/casing which I assume is for factory fog lights (I have placed arrows in the picture showing what I am talking about). No I have not yet opened it up to see what is inside, nor have I traced the wiring to see where it leads, but am planning on doing so one of these days. In the meantime I have the following questions for all my fellow forum members:

Question #1: Is this indeed factory wiring for fog/driving lights (are all JKs pre-wired from the factory for fog/driving lights just on some JKs it is not used)?

Question #2: If the answer to the above question is correct (making my assumption correct), has anyone or is it a common mod to utilize this wiring for installing aftermarket fog/driving lights?

I hope I have explained myself and shown what I need to with the picture. Appreciate any and all help...

I would assume that is the factory fog light wire. I took off my factory fogs when i put on my new bumper, and the remaining wiring looks just like that

Not certain, But I believe that other people have discovered that those wires are not the fog light wires. Also, when you purchase the OEM foglight kit, It comes with a harness.

Not sure about whether the wires would be there if not stock. But your headlight stalk, does it have the option to slide out to turn on fogs?

I do believe that wire goes to your traction control system
