FlashCal does not support 2014 DRL's - does ProCal?
I have a 2014 JKU Sahara. I bought a Superchips FlashCal 3570 because they advertise openly on all their media that the unit will enable the DRL's on '07 to '14 JKU's. I would like to know why my 3570 (most recent update as of this post) simply does not offer this option. I've tried and tried to contact Superchips (Ron specifically) to no avail. They simply do not have an answer. So I reach out to my fellow JK enthusiasts. Anyone else here having the same issue and does anyone know of a solution without having to install some aftermarket non-OEM DRL system? I *KNOW* the capability is there in the CANBUS. Why is this such an impossible task on the 2014 models?!
Does anyone know if the ProCal works as advertised for the 2014 models? I might just go that route and stick with them for all future tech. The FlashCal seems like an OK unit, but kinda got a bad taste in my mouth right now with Superchips customer service and "false" claims. (Not intending to start wars here, this is just my personal experience!)
I would really like to get this working as I live in a very congested "touron infested" city with drivers who are more attentive to the sights than traffic. My Billet Silver JKU blends right in like urban camo!! In the month or so that I've had it, I've already had several very close calls with idiots pulling out in front of me! DRL's truly are a safety feature I must have.

I can't speak to the 2014 for drl but you could just make your own... I used led strip lighting and hooked it up to keyed on power. It's a night shot but is bright enough and looks cooler then the stock lights on.

I do like your setup. I've seen this done and it's nice. Most OEM looking of the aftermarket DIY setups for sure. I'd prefer them to be off when headlights are on at night though, so I'd have to devise a relay setup. Would be super nice to avoid all this and just be able to activate the CANBUS option that's already there. You know?

I have a 2014 and the ProCal. It has the DRL setup. A few different options. Currently running the fog light mod. They turn on when I put the jeep into gear. Took all of 15 seconds to setup and update.

You don't even notice they are on when the headlights are on, they aren't bright enough to add extra lighting. Although adding a relay is easy or as one guy did he just tied in the negative of the headlights to the positive of the led's so when the headlights turn on the led's turn off. Yes activating it through the canbus is easier, have you tried your local dealer? They can turn it on.
According to 3 different dealerships that I contacted including the place of purchase, and many posts on forums I've read, the US dealers can't turn on DRL's! Their systems aren't programmed for it. I would have to drive to Canada or Mexico (1,000's of miles) or go to Europe or pretty much ANYWHERE else in the world but the USA. Utterly ridiculous!!! Get it together Chrysler! This is a SAFETY feature.

I got the led's from Walmart and a add a circuit from a local automotive store, as well as extra wiring to make it to the battery and fuse box.
The us dealers can turn on drl's they just don't know how to do it and that's why they say they can't do it. It's just buried in the computer system and would take more time then they are willing to put into it.
Here is the starscan way of turning them on at the dealer.
From the main screen, click Vehicle Preparation.
Scroll down the list until you see the selection "Enable DRL"
Select it by touching the screen where it says "Enable DRL" and then press the start button. After a few seconds a window will pop up (yeah pop ups are everywhere not just the internet).
If this is really what you want to do, click the next button at the bottom of the pop up.
Click the Enable button and wait a few seconds. If the change was successful you will see a window that reads, "the DRL feature is now "enabled".
Click Finish and that is it. Go and check to make sure your DRL's are working now.
