Default Feature Survey - Intelligent Accessory Controller

If you saw my post about hacking the CAN-Interior bus of a JK, you noticed my comments about building an intelligent accessory switching system. I'm pretty far along with that, and would love to get some feedback from the community on features they'd like to see.

Right now my plan is to build something, release it all with open-source and open-hardware so people can build their own, but there's been enough interest for people who would like to have one built for themselves that I made the following survey. If you have a moment, I would really appreciate your feedback.

Once the survey is all done, I'll post the results here too so everyone can see the data.

And if you aren't sure exactly what I'm talking about - it's effectively a standard relay box in your engine bay, but instead of just toggle switches, it's smart and listens to your car's computers and can activate switches when lights go on/off, high-beams, blinkers, ignition - whatever we can think of.

The link to the survery is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LKMHTBG

Thanks!

sPOD has a similar feature that can be controlled though your smartphone/iPhone.

Are you talking about a similar product or If I'm understanding correctly, something that is logic controlled, like normally open/normally closed switches ?

More logic controller (the smartphone controlled stuff is a good add-on, but not what I was originally after).

If you don't want to dig through the hacking thread I originally posted, the main thing I was after first was activating lights when other switches were activated, without having to tap into the car's final electrical system. Auxillary lights that go on when the high-beams are on, for example, but still independent.

In my JK, what I'll actually be doing with it is:
  • aux driving lights that go on with high-beams
  • CB on with ignition only, but with a 5-15 minute timeout after ignition is turned off
  • interior accent lights that pay attention to dimming settings, and have proper rising and falling illumiation instead of just on/off
  • more exterior approach lights that work as you'd expect
  • data logging and tracking for analysis later (similar to Automatic or Dash Lab's products)

Almost all of that you can do by directly tapping into the OEM wiring, but that's a mess and exactly what I wanted to avoid.

I have an sPOD now but it isn't smart, which got old to me pretty quick.
