Default Fan Cut Off Switch

Jeep Gurus

Need ur help. I want to add an electric cut off switch for electric fan. Has anyone done this mod?

really need ur help with pics if possible.

Ideally id like to use a 3 way switch

top for on constant
middle for stock control
bottom for kill

I believe you will need a double pole double throw switch with center off

You could cut the fan wiring @ the fan. Then refeed the fan thru a relay. Splice on to the fan circuit and bring it back to the switch ( OEM Circuit). On the drawing, Just think of the lights as the fan of course. Word of caution I would think twice about having a permenant OFF switch.



With this set-up, toggle up = Constant on. Toggle middle = constant Off. Toggle down = OEM control.

Thanks dude that's exactly what i needed,

just an FYI the kill position would only be used during water fording (to prevent water from flying all over my block)

my brother just mentioned that that would also be really fun to wire to the brake lights ......

This circuit has many uses. Foglight override is one also.
