Default Factory Remote Start Help Please
I have a 2013 Rubi with OEM remote start. Is there away to program the Jeep to stay on longer when started via remote start and not automatically shut off? I would like to use the remote start so that if I leave my dog in the jeep for a few minutes I can leave the Jeep running but it is set-up from the factory to shut off after i think 5 minutes.

The only way I can see with the factory is go to the dealer, aftermarket units can be programmed for all sorts of stuff

Pretty sure mine stays running for about 15 min. I've never timed it but that seems right.

You'll also want to watch the gas gauge. If the fuel light is on the remote start won't engage.

almost all vehicles are 2 x 10 min starts. and you have to use the key after the 2nd start before you can start it agian.

start the car; then use the key fob to lock the doors from outside.

I'd have to try it, but i believe the JK has lockout prevention that won't let you do that to keep you from locking the keys in the Jeep. You could manually lock it though.
