Default factory fog hook up

waitng on new front bumper and im going to losing my factory fogs and was wondering if anyone has used the factory fogs wiring harness to hook up a set of KC Hilights Slimlights?

Would this be possible? Do those lights draw to much power for the factory harness?

Just looking for insight cause I want to upgrade my lighting thanks

You need to trace the wire and put a relay or it will do some damage to the electrical and that's about it. You might get away with the ridgid led fog lights wired to it with no relay but I wouldn't suggest it, hope this helps.

You will need a relay. It will just burn and melt the wire.

Factory fogs are 45watts each. I deleted the factory fogs and wired 55watt Hella fogs to the factory fog wiring. No problems.

Any higher wattage lights I would go with a relay/wiring.

The power for the relay should come from the battery ( with a "fusible link" of the correct size ).
The switch for the relay can come from the original Fog Light wires ( with a fusible link also ).

I wired a set of rigid directly to fog's harness... no issues that I've noticed. That being said, when i exit the jeep and hit the lock button, my left LED will flash dimly for about 30 seconds and then stop. I assume its the LED receiving the signal from the CANBUS system while the vehicle shuts down?
