Default ESP light on, how to turn off?

Bought my jeep used and lifted. Previous owner said after the lift, he had the dealership turn off his ESP and that's why the dash light on the dash is on. Is there a fuse I can pull or anyway to turn the dash light off?

If ur esp was just off every time u start ur jeep it will sound a chime and instead of miles it will say "esp off" on the odometer....the previous owner fed u a line...could just be a wheel sensor that bad tho

Mine came on yesterday. I got out my superchips programmer & checked the code then cleared it.

Steering angle sensor points to the clockspring, but I deleted the code, centered the wheel up a little better, and haven't seen the code since then.

As to it being on all of the time....
-start with the steering wheel position, make sure it's right
-do the "steering wheel dance" in hopes of re-enabling it
-check wheel sensors.

If you've got a superchips then read the codes and see if you can skip to step 3.

It if is an earlier model the dealer could have done the steering wheel dance to turn it off. It won't work on a '12 and up. If that is the case, doing it again will turn it back on. But he may have turn it off because off the lift.

Sounds like something is not quite right after the lift and rather than fix it, he turned the ESP off. I've had 2 lifted JK's and never had to disable ESP, so something is amiss in your setup.

If its disabled it will stay on. Google jk esp disabling and turn it back on.

Yeah it's an 08 and lifted. He said after the lift, the ESP would turn on or something do he had the permanently have the dealer turn it off, which is why the lights on.
So can I pull a fuse or do anything to turn the light off?

There are a couple fixes....

- figure out the issue and correct it, then re-enable the ESP
- cut up a folder and tape it behind the dash over top of the light.

Both will take some trial and error but the second is much cheaper.
